Sony Santa Monica is developing the next chapter in the God of War franchise, the company announced at the PlayStation Experience this weekend (via IGN).
The news dropped at the climax of a God of War retrospective panel at the Las Vegas-based event, with Cory Barlog, Creative Director at SSM, confirming the project won’t be a prequel.
Sadly, that’s about all we know on the game so far, with Barlog refusing to confirm whether or not Kratos would be making a return. He added that Sony hopes to share more details in “the next year or two."
The last chapter in the God of War franchise, God of War: Ascension, was released on PlayStation 3 in March 2013.
