Electronic Arts has unveiled new details on its upcoming videogame adaptation of The Godfather II, due for release in early 2009.

According to reports, the sequel will include a total of six playable classes: Bruiser, Demolitions Expert, Arsonist, Medic, Safe Cracker and Engineer. Furthermore, each has their own unique background and can pick one of 12 different personalities.

Conceptually, the game will function in the sandbox mould with RPG and RTS elements spliced throughout, and will include third-person, street level sequences, which can zoom out to a strategic map of the surrounding boroughs. Know as "Don’s View", this feature allows players to keep tabs on the competition, plan out heists and manage your resources.

Lastly, EA also confirmed that the game would feature various perks; namely, rewards for stealing various property of rival gangs. An example of this includes stealing a factory, which may reward your family with a new vehicle and additional weaponry.
