Publisher Electronic Arts will release new entries in the Medal of Honor and Need for Speed franchises in 2012, according to U.K. retail giant GAME.
The company Tweeted earlier today that both games will form part of EA’s line-up for this year. “EA presentation was great, had mentions of a new Medal of Honour and Need for Speed 13! EA have an exciting year ahead,” it said.
Unsurprisingly, the Tweet has since been removed.
Nonetheless, the news shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering Medal of Honor 2 was confirmed to be in development last year, and Need for Speed was hardly going to disappear anytime soon.
Medal of Honor was rebooted in 2010 with Danger Close’s eponymous Afghanistan-based shooter, and went on to prove a commercial success for EA.
Stay tuned for more info as we get it.
