Playbrains today revealed a new adventure platformer coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3. An official announcement is slated for the New York Comic Con on Oct. 8, a fitting venue given the game’s New York City setting.
Sideway features a unique art-style, and while little was revealed about the game, it appears you’ll play as an underground street artist in NYC. It may feature some kind of multiplayer, but it will likely not feature an online component, explained Scott Simpson, studio director at Playbrains, in response to a comment on the PlayStation Blog. The game is expected to launch in 2011 exclusively on the PlayStation Network via Sony Online Entertainment.
You can check out some early concept art, which does a terrific job of showing off the hand-drawn, underground art style. Expect to hear more about this game in the coming weeks.
