New PS3 Firmware update due in late March?

Psyonix Studio – the team responsible for the PSN mouthful that is Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle-Cars – has hinted that Sony will be releasing its latest PlayStation 3 Firmware update “later this month.”

"Sony mentioned a bug they fixed with the next system software update (2.7.0) that might resolve these issues, but we have to narrow it down and verify it’s the same problem to be sure it’s that and not something we need to fix on our end,” said the company in response to a bug in the racing title.

A further statement reads: "IIRC it will drop later this month. And contain lots of fun new fixes. I’m excited about this one, lots of new stuff."

Both posts were subsequently pulled offline soon after, though Sony neglected to comment on the matter, giving website CVG a firm “no comment.”

Guess we’ll find out soon enough. Keep your eyes peeled for more information as we get it.
