New PS4 game teased by Capcom, will ‘turn heads’

Speaking during an interview with Famitsu magazine, Resident Evil 5 Producer, Jun Takeuchi, has said that Capcom may have something new to announce for PlayStation 4 in the near future.

Takeuchi-san, who also worked on Lost Planet 2 and Onimusha 3, heaped praise on Sony’s latest hardware when quizzed on how Capcom is getting on with the development of PS4 software.

“PS4 development has been ongoing, but the more that I use the system the more that it seems there is to uncover,” he said. “SCE has made a really incredible system for us.”

“Right now, we’re seeing how far we can push the game engine,” Takeuchi-san added. “You’ll be surprised by the quality of the games that we’re working on right now. I think that we’ll be able to announce [something] soon, so please look forward to it. I realise that that’s obnoxious.”

Finally, he hinted that one of the new projects will “turn heads overseas.”

Capcom is currently working on four known titles for PS4: Resident Evil HD Remaster, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, Deep Down, and an unnamed title from Street Fighter legend, Yoshinori Ono.
