New PS4, PS3 hardware revisions in the pipeline — report

Rumors of hardware revisions for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 have surfaced following the registration of two PlayStation models by Sony with the Indonesian Ministry of Communications.

First up is model number CUH-1106A. For reference, the Asian PS4 model happens to be CUH-1006A, indicating that this filing could pertain to a revision of Sony’s latest home console.

According to DualShockers, it is unlikely to include a larger hard drive, as the this feature is represented by the letter A, which remains unchanged.

The other filing is CECH-4306CH, which seems to be the next step after the PS3 Super Slim model. This could suggest a revision to the Super Slim is the pipeline.

Could Sony have something up its sleeves for E3? We’ll just have to wait and see.
