New ‘Tales Of’ series trademarks registered by Namco Bandai

Fresh trademarks seemingly pertaining to the Tales series have been registered by publisher Namco Bandai.

Spotted by AGB, the trademarks are named ‘Tales of Zestiria’ and ‘Tales of Zestias’ and sound very much like new entries in the venerable JRPG franchise.

Tales of Xillia has just been released in North America and will hit Europe tomorrow. A sequel, Tales of Xillia 2, was launched in Japan last November, though a western release has yet to be announced.

The Tales series can be traced all the way back to 1995 with the inaugural entry Tales of Phantasia, and has graced almost every console imaginable. As of May 2011, the series had accumulated worldwide sales of 13 million units.
