Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, the upcoming PS4-exclusive RPG, will have online multiplayer elements, developer Level-5 has confirmed.
Speaking during a Bandai Namco interview (as per Gematsu) Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino confirmed that the much-anticipated sequel to what many consider one of the most accomplished RPG’s of last generation will have some online multiplayer component but failed to specify exact what that would entail.
Hino-san surmised by saying, ‘’There will be multiplayer. You will be able to play online with your friends in various capacities.”
In terms of gameplay mechanics, Hino-san spoke to Ni No Kuni 2 being a game about traversal and adventure across a world map at its heart, and that you’ll be about to build a kingdom and collect things along the way to help you grow it.
For those wondering, there will be returning characters from the first game, too, though that’s been kept under wraps for the time being.
Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is set to release on November 10, 2017 – so in the meantime be sure to tell us what you think about the game below and as ever stay tuned to PSU for all the latest and greatest news in PlayStation.
