Ninja Gaiden III to be ‘more exciting,’ says dev

Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi has revealed the developer has got its sights set on making Ninja Gaiden III "a more exciting game that can be enjoyed by anyone.”

Speaking to PlayStation: The Official Magazine, Hayashi commented, "We know that many fans feel good about the difficulty level, but we are taking a slightly different approach."

"It’s not that the game’s going to be easier – nothing like that. It’s just that we are trying to make a whole game, a more exciting game that can be enjoyed by anyone. But at the same time, hardcore gamers will be able to feel and appreciate what the series is about."

Elsewhere, Hayashi also touched on the game’s inherently violent nature, saying Team Ninja wants to go a little deeper this time around and make players realise what it’s like to actually kill someone.

"We are trying to take the violent concepts even deeper and make people realise how it feels to actually kill someone and what it is to actually gut someone," he explained. "It’s very important to us that people realise that violence is not only about blood and gore."

Hayashi also confirmed that the game will support a “complex multiplayer mode,” and is due to launch simultaneously for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
