No FemShep cover for Mass Effect Trilogy

Electronic Arts has confirmed that the forthcoming Mass Effect Trilogy won’t feature an optional cover for FemShep fans.

Mass Effect 3 of course offered gamers a choice of two covers: one for Male Shepard (voiced by Mark Meer), and the other for Female Shepard (voice by Jennifer Hale). It seems this won’t be offered for the Trilogy, however.

However, the Mass Effect Twitter was quick to respond to disgruntled fans by revealing EA has “a little something special planned for FemShep coming.”

“Not with the cover art. We’re doing something separate,” it continued.

Mass Effect Trilogy launches for PC and Xbox 360 in November 2012, and includes all three entries in the epic sci-fi franchise.

A PlayStation 3 version is also planned though won’t be out until a later date. However, it will give players the chance to finally experience the original Mass Effect, which up until now has remained exclusive to Microsoft’s console.
