No plans for Street Fighter IV character DLC, says Capcom

Capcom has said that the company has ‘no plans’ to release additional Street Fighter IV characters via downloadable content, suggesting that doing so may ‘split the user-base.’

Speaking with GamingUnion, Capcom’s Seth Killian stated, [There are] no plans for additional DLC right now,” adding, “We want the core game to be a completely functional package, and character DLC could split the user-base.”

Previous DLC includes a Championship Mode as well as additional costumes for fighters. Check out our review of Street Fighter IV here.
