A “very well-informed mole” has told Ars Technica that the rumored flash-based PlayStation Portable Go! will be announced at E3, while the PlayStation 3 Slim won’t be showcased at the games conference.
The “mole” also states the new PSP Go! will be sold alongside the current iteration of the PSP. The new PSP will be lighter, use less power, and may sell for a cheaper price than its predecessor.
As for the rumored PS3 Slim, Ars’s source claims the platform does exist, but it will not be announced at E3 – instead, the site notes that we can expect the redesigned PS3 in August or September. Ars speculates that Sony will allow retailers to sell off current PS3s over the summer, and when it comes to restock the system, they’ll replace it with the Slim version.
