One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 sets sail for Europe this summer

Namco Bandai has announced that the PlayStation 3 title One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will be localized for release in Europe sometime this summer. This should come as no surprise as the first game brought in a lot of booty having sold over 1.2 million units worldwide. There is no word on the PlayStation Vita version of Pirate Warriors 2 at this time.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will follow the New World story arc as players take control of various Straw Hat Pirates crew members like Luffy, Zolo, and Sanji in a Dynasty Warriors-esque experience. In addition, previously unreleased stages such as Skypiea and new characters including Eneru will be found in the game.

In celebration of the first game’s sales achievement, from December 12 through 26, the first One Piece: Pirate Warriors will receive a discount on it’s digital release and on all the downloadable content released so far in Europe.
