Overwatch Anniversary event confirmed, Game of the Year Edition on its way

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the long-rumored Overwatch Anniversary event will kick off on May 23.

The event will run until June 12 and will allow gamers to download and play the critically acclaimed shooter for free across all platforms, from May 26-29. In addition, the studio also confirmed that it will release an Overwatch Game of the Year Edition day-and-date with the start of the anniversary event.

No price point for this re-release has been confirmed as of yet, although it appears to feature more or less the same content as the Overwatch Origins Edition plus a few extras. See below for full details.
