Blizzard looks set to unleash a series of Overwatch Halloween costumes this month, according to various evidence dug up in the Public Test Realm files.
Specifically, dataminers have uncovered new voice files and images that point to an Overwatch Halloween update, which we’ve compiled for you below (via PVPlive).
Firstly, there’s a shot of Junkrat sporting a Dr. Frankenstein costume, indicating he’ll be strapping on the outfit for Halloween brawling. Unsurprisingly, this has resulted in speculation that Roadhog will slap on a Frankenstein’s Monster outfit to complement Junkrat’s Halloween-inspired makeover.

Next up, Winston’s Overwatch short film depicts Mercy as a witch and Torbjorn as a Viking. While these findings were not located in the datelined files, they still make sense given how close we are to Halloween. Elsewhere, voice files were also dug up in the datamine, in which you can hear Tracer remarking, ‘Ooooh, scary!’ followed by Genji replying, ‘My Halloween costume? Cyborg Ninja.’ Finally, Soldier: 76 utters a gruff ‘Trick or treat.’
Finally, some gamers are liking the Halloween update to Sombra due to the meaning behind her name (‘Shadow’), plus the presence of skulls in her ARG storyline.
