Blizzard Entertainment has released Overwatch Rise and Shine, the latest addition to its short films based on the perennially popular shooting game for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
This latest animated short features on the character of Mei, and details her backstory at Ecopoint: Antarctica, her nine years in cryogenic sleep, plus the creation of her Endothermic Blaster and return to Overwatch.

Overwatch was released in May 2016 and remains one of the most popular shooters for modern home consoles. Blizzard has continued to support the game since launch, its most recent efforts being the Overwatch Summer Games event.
In addition, the studio has confirmed that the long-waited Overwatch Deathmatch mode is being tested for PC and will be rolled out for consoles soon.
