Performance Controller Scuf Omega Officially Announced And Licensed For PS5 Consoles

The PlayStation Blog has today confirmed the release of the Scuf Omega, a new performance controller designed by Scuf Gaming that is officially licensed for not only PS5 hardware, but also PC, Mac, iOS and Android. The device is available to purchase from today, and promises to deliver the “seamless integration, low-latency connectivity, and the advanced customisation Scuf is known for.”

28 inputs are available to players with Scuf Omega, including 11 additional customisable inputs — 4 rear paddles, 2 side buttons, and 5 G-Keys. These put critical actions where your hand are already placed, which means you can customise them to jump without lifting a thumb, reload while aiming, or slide mid-sprint. In addition, The Scuf Mobile App can be used on iOS and Android for the following:

  • Build and manage multiple profiles for different games or playstyles
  • Save setting directly to the controller
  • Dial in sensitivity with true 0% deadzones
  • Fine-tune trigger and thumbstick response curves
  • Choose your thumbstick response zone: Circle, Square, or the default Squircle
  • Configure SOCD settings for fighting games
  • Manage microphone, volume, and audio controls
  • Recalibrate thumbsticks to maintain peak accuracy
  • Monitor battery level and charging status
  • Set up mobile gaming connectivity
  • Stay current with the latest firmware updates
  • Personalize your RGB lighting strip (PC only)

Beyond that, Instant Triggers, D-Pad and Action Buttons feature Omron mechanical switches on the Scuf Omega, which is the same tech used to power high-end gaming mice. In addition, the Endurance TMR Thumbtacks used on the Scuf Omega feature non-contact magnetic sensing technology, which ensures long-term reliability. Players are able to pick from concave or domed shapes in short or tall varieties to match their grip and play style.

Omega’s ergonomics are 15 years in the making, refined through real-world competition and direct feedback from the pros who play at the highest level. Every contour puts the paddles where fingers naturally fall. A non-slip grip texture keeps players locked in through gaming sessions and final-circle moments alike. Vibration modules have been removed to reduce weight and eliminate interference during the micro-adjustments that matter most.

The Scuf Omega is available starting today priced at $219.99/£209.99.
