Persona 4 Golden Publisher To Bring More Back Catalogue To ‘Other New Platforms’

SEGA has revealed that it will start to aggressively port some of its back catalogue to Steam and ‘other new platforms’ following the success of Persona 4: Golden on PC. Could this possibly mean the critically acclaimed RPG could arrive on new formats, such as PS5? It’s possible.

Persona 4 Golden PC Success Leads To Aggressive Porting

Speaking during an investor Q&A released overnight, the publishing giant revealed that sales of Persona 4: Golden on the PC were “significantly higher than expected,” which has in turn influenced its future plans.

Going forward, we intend to aggressively promote the porting of previously launched titles to Steam and other new platforms. Under such direction, we would like to take multi-platform rollout in account and prepare the PC version and others from the start.

Persona 4: Golden was released for the PlayStation Vita back in 2012, and remains one of the most celebrated titles for Sony’s ill-fated handheld. Read our review here.
