Update:
Persona Central has debunked the video saying it was created with a model importer and that there was never an unused map of this area in Persona 5. Sorry to burst any bubbles, Persona fans!
Update on the Iwatodai Dorm discovery: It was not real field data, unlike the other video showcasing fields in the game. I’m sorry…

Orginal Story:
It’s no secret that Persona 5 is an awesome game. Heck, it’s so awesome that Famitsu readers actually voted for it as their best game of all-time. Well, prepare to add more to Persona 5’s legend! It seems that Persona 5 houses an unfinished Iwatodai Dorm level unearthed by mining the game’s data.
As you will see in the video below. it’s an untextured, incomplete level. Could it have been used for testing purposes? Maybe an Easter egg for fans? Or maybe a hint that a Persona 3 HD remake is coming soon? You be the judge.
Persona Central translator and franchise fan had this to say:
This is on GAF now, so I need to make a few things clear.
-This is an unused/placeholder map in P5.
-Could be for P3D or a P3 HD remake.— Mystic (@MysticDistance) September 12, 2017
More likely than not, this is a testing ground for the characters, and the dev team didn’t bother to take it out. However, back in February, Atlus asked fans if they wanted more Persona spin-offs or remakes, so there’s the possiblity of that too. no?
For now, sit tight, and let your mind wander. Once Atlus announces more Persona news, we’ll be sure to let you know.
