Chasing Rats Games is bringing Struggling, a new physics-based co-op platformer, to the PS4 and Xbox One on September 8, Frontier Foundry has announced.
Struggling sees up to two players controlling the wobbly arms of Troy, a fleshy hero who sets out on an epic quest to find the legendary Abomination Gods. Along the way, he’ll have to outrun ravenous rodents, joyride on a dirt bike, and launch himself over pools of hideous waste.
Players will also face a series of puzzles set in increasingly bizarre settings, which will test your coordination skills as you either team up with a friend to tackle the game’s challenges or control Troy’s overly squishy limbs yourself.
Our hero is also able to earn new powers as they progress through Struggling’s four unique worlds, such as the ability to slow down time, detaching Troy’s arms, and graft your appendages onto the environment.
Struggling looks set to combine an eyeball-popping art style with comedy and horror, with its locations ranging from horrific class, deep canyons, and hyper-dreams as you solve increasingly complex physics-based puzzles.
Struggling is due out on PS4 and Xbox One on September 8, 2021.
