In a spate of news that feels as though it’s taken forever to come to fruition, the closed beta of the PS4 version of PlanetSide 2 is set to be submitted to Sony by Monday at the latest.
Answering a query on his personal Twitter account, Sony Online Entertainment President John Smedley mentioned that PlanetSide 2 is to be sent for approval in the coming days – news that’ll be no doubt music to the ears of prospective adopters.
Originally scheduled to coincide with the release of the PS4, PlanetSide 2 – a free-to-play massively multiplayer first-person shooter – has been tweaked and prodded for a further year, ramping the anticipation up tenfold.
@Murph_K @mhigby @dcarey7761 @LukeSigmund submission is hopefully going in today (fingers crossed). Monday latest.

With the approval coming as early as January, it looks as though the finishing line is finally in sight – albeit the final game may still take a couple of more months.
