Planetside 2 will apparently take advantage of the new features on the DualShock 4 controller. The free-to-play PVP shooter is being developed by Sony Online Entertainment and is coming to PlayStation 4 during the launch window.
In an interview on Gaming Bolt, Clint Worley, the game’s executive producer, said "We do plan to take advantage of the features that come with the PS4 to enhance the experience, such as the DualShock 4 peripheral."
Worley didn’t clarify what these features may be, but it’s either a touchpad feature or something with the camera. I suspect the former is more likely.
Planetside 2 was released on PC earlier this year and currently has a strong player base. The game will continue to be F2P when it is released for Sony’s next-generation console.
