Playlogic developing new IP for PS3

Playlogic has announced it is developing a new IP for Sony’s PlayStation 3 console as the company plans to expand its presence within the United Kingdom.

Currently in development with in-house studio Playlogic Game Factory, the as of yet unnamed title is just the first in a line-up of games for Sony’s next-generation console, with Playlogic Executive Vice President, Roger Smit, promising a further three more to come.

“A team at our in-house development studio called Playlogic Game Factory in Breda recently started working on a new IP,” said Smit. “It is still early in development, but looks very promising and we expect it to turn into a great game.”

Smit went on to emphasis the importance of the UK videogames market, attributing Playlogic’s continued relationship with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe in regards to the firm’s commitment to PS3.

“The UK is a very important market for us. Our recent releases such as Infernal, Ancient Wars: Sparta, Xyanide Resurrection and Obscure II have all performed well and we plan to release even more titles in the future”, he added
