PlayStation China press conference dated for December

With the console ban in China lifted this year, Sony is readying the PlayStation 4 and Vita for release to the world’s largest population. Sony Computer Entertainment will hold a press conference on December 11 in Shanghai.

The launch date and price of both the PS4 and Vita will be announced at the event, along with details on PlayStation services and games. It’s anticipated that Sony will announce partnerships with Chinese developers as well, much like how they announced partnerships with Korean developers at the G-Star 2014 event in South Korea last month.

Currently, rumors put the PS4’s launch price in China at 2,999 RMB, ($487). The price is $113 less than the Xbox One without the Kinect, which goes for 3,699 RMB ($600).
