Sony has officially confirmed that its annual PlayStation Experience event will return this year, taking place December 3-4.
PSX 2016 will take place in Anaheim, California, and marks Sony’s third pre-holiday PlayStation showcase in as many years. While firm details on this year’s event have yet to be confirmed, you can expect the usual deluge of new game announcements, hands-on opportunities, and hopefully some more teasers of the likes of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo Sport, and more.
Tickets are now available and can be purchased here.
PSX 2016 hype train in full swing, but what new games can we expect?
PlayStation Experience 2016 should prove quite significant as it arrives shortly after the launch of both the PlayStation VR and PlayStation Pro, so no doubt Sony will want to champion both devices at the event.
Previous PSX events have played host to a number of high-profile reveals and trailers, including the first gameplay footage of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End back in 2014, and last year’s gameplay debut of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Indie games usually take more of a centre stage at PSX in comparison to, say, E3, although Sony typically attempts to strike a fine balance between first-party exclusives, major third-party games, and smaller titles.
Stay tuned for more details on PSX 2016 as we get them.
