Is your PlayStation Network password not working?

PlayStation 4 users are reporting that their PSN passwords have been reset following a period of unscheduled maintenance on Sony’s flagship online service.

We experienced it first-hand yesterday while trying to purchase games from the PlayStation Store. It wouldn’t accept our PSN password, so we had to manually reset it. After multiple times of trying though, we’ve yet to receive our reset email from Sony so we’re locked out.

Other users have reported the same issue. According to reports on Reddit, users have been found that they were unable to log into their PS4 account after receiving a notice of PSN maintenance. Initially, one user was not able to receive a password reset email, although the issue was late resolved. Nonetheless, they did bring up the issue with PSN support, who offered the following response:

“There was a reset on almost all PSN accounts to set a new password per changes in the PSN server, that was like an unscheduled maintenance and the thing was that it took a delay for your email to receive the password reset messages with the links.”

In more positive PlayStation Network news,Sony has launched a PlayStation Store games discount sale for Easter, which features titles like Batman Arkham Knight (77% off). The PlayStation Plus April 2017 games are also available to download, and include David Jaffe’s Drawn to Death.
