Sony continues to keep its mouth shut on the PlayStation Phone, even though rumors are spreading around the Internet faster than a bad case of swamp foot. There’s even more evidence that the phone could run PlayStation games, albeit in ROM form for the moment, with this latest video.
The video here from YouTube shows Resident Evil 2 and Rage Racer ROMs running through an Android application apparently called ROM Buddy. For now, it appears Xperia Play has some form of PSOne emulation support, but it seems unlikely the retail product will support such capabilities.
The apparent specs of the phone include a PlayStation-style d-pad with buttons, and dual touch-sensitive analog pads. The phone remains a rumor as Sony has yet to confirm its existence, despite the perfect opportunity at CES this year. It’s important to remember that these images and videos do not confirm the PlayStation Phone existence or specifications.
If all the rumors are true, will you budget your funds for a PlayStation Phone?
