PlayStation Plus has now reached 7.9 million subscribers worldwide, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) has announced.
The hardware giant revealed the figures during its latest financial call, although didn’t confirm how many subscribers are PlayStation 4 owners.
Earlier this year, Kazuo Hirai, CEO and President of SCEI, confirmed that exactly half of PS4 owners had signed up to PS Plus.
The company also confirmed that 3.3 million PS4s were sold during the period July-September 2014.
