The PlayStation Plus June 2017 announcement is almost upon us, but which games will be free to subscribers next month?
Your PlayStation Plus May Games
As you might know, we love to make a prediction on the PS4, PS4 and Vita coming to PS Plus each month, so we’ve put together which games we think might make the cut for PlayStation Plus in June.
If you’re a member of PS Plus, Sony’s subscription-based service, then you can expect the free games to be available to download the second week in June. Sony is expected to announce the PlayStation Plus June 2017 games list on March 31.
Let’s do it. Here’s the games that we think we’ll hit PlayStation Plus in May 2017.
The Crew
Ubisoft’s 2014 MMO racer is perfect fodder for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The Crew 2 has recently been announced so what better way to get players in the mood for more open-world racing than to release the first game for free. Ubisoft is no stranger to adding its games to the PS Plus line-up, and The Crew has also already been available on Xbox Games for Gold a year ago! The last piece of DLC for The Crew was released in August last year, so it would be a great way to rejuvenate the game and sell some extra expansion packs by giving away the base game.
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut
You can expect at least a couple of indie games for PlayStation Plus June 2017, and Black Forest Games’ old-school platformer would be a nice addition. Visually stunning with a great rock soundtrack, this bite-sized platformer tests your platforming skills to the limit with its tricky level design. The duality system is really clever too. You switch between cute and punk version of Giana, utilizing different skills to master challenges as you explore a colorful and dark world that’s full of hidden treasures.
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate
The 2014 button-mashing beat ‘em up from Omega Force offers hours of replay value with 120 playable characters that allows you to create the ultimate three-character fighting team. This fourth instalment in the crossover Dynasty Warriors and Samurari Warriors series is arguably one of the best. Themes of loyalty, betrayal, friendship and love are explored in the human drama created as these heroes clash on the field of battle.
Hand of Fate
Defiant Development’s action RPG with deck-building elements received excellent reviews on its release in February 2015 on PS4. In Hand of Fate, players search for artifacts, items and enemies as collectible cards and then have to play their decks. The big twist on conventional deck-building games is that once you’ve laid down your hand the style switches to third-person action combat as you attempt to take down bosses in a fantasy universe.
Sacred 3
PS3 owners could be getting their hands on Deep Silver’s side-scrolling action brawler. Released in 2014, this class-based Diablo-esque hack and slasher features four player co-op and requires teamwork as you smash through hordes of baddies collecting loot and levelling up.
Other predictions for PS Plus June games include: Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
