In the lead up to the announcement of the PlayStation Plus March 2017 line-up of free games, the PlayStation store is currently having a sale on the best PlayStation games of 2016. The Critic’s Choice Sale sees massive reductions on the platforms strongest titles. What’s more, PS Plus subscribers can enjoy an extra saving on all the games appearing in the sale. Sony is offering savings of up to 60% for non-subscribers while PlayStation Plus members can enjoy up to 70% off a wide selection of games, from big name brands to beloved indies.
Running until 28 February, the Critic’s Choice Sale has a number of gaming gems among its lofty offering that incorporates PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita titles.
Included in the line-up is Inside, which utilises a similar visual style to its predecessor, Limbo, and is atmospheric and gory while also being moving and funny. At $7.99 on PS Plus, it’s a must-have for those that have yet to sample its platforming delights.
Also up for grabs at a reduced rate is roguelike turn-based RPG Darkest Dungeon. Tasking players with managing the stress levels of a group of adventurers, its charming gothic styling masks a cruel and challenging, yet immensely compelling experience. Darkest Dungeon is being offered for $9.99 to those on PS Plus.
If shooters are more your thing, the pulse pounding Doom is available at half price and those looking to try out Titanfall 2 can do so now with 60% off. The best in stealth is also represented with Dishonored 2 offered at $41.39 for Plus members, while Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience, Kojima’s farewell to the franchise, can be snapped up for $24.99 on PS Plus.
