Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a new loyalty program called PlayStation Stars in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
PlayStation Stars is pencilled in for a late 2022 rollout and will be completely free to join. Becoming a member will give you the chance to earn rewards by finishing various campaigns and activities, with the Monthly Check-In initiative simply requiring you to play any game to receive a reward.
Elsewhere, there’s other campaigns that will require the player to win tournaments, netting specific Trophies, and also stabbing the first Platinum Trophy for a blockbuster title in your region.
Furthermore, all members of PlayStation Stars will have the chance to earn loyalty points, which can be redeemed in a catalog including PSN wallet funds and select products on the PlayStation Store.
Sony’s also lifted the lid on a new reward called digital collectibles. These are digital representations of “things that PlayStation fans enjoy,” according to the format holder, and include figurines of iconic characters and devices plucked from Sony’s illustrious hardware history.

This is just the beginning for PlayStation Stars, and the program will continue to evolve over time. We’re currently doing some early tests on this program before launching it later this year in phased regional rollouts.
