PlayStation TV price slashed in US

Across the United States, gamers can now pick up PlayStation TV for $80, down from $100. Along with the $20 price cut for the base package, the bundle package that comes with a controler and a game is now available for $100, down from $140.

Though not an official price cut from Sony, Wal-Mart, GameStop, Amazon and other retailers are now offering PlayStation TV for the new discounted price. $80 is not marked as a sale price, giving more evidence that this may be the new permanent price for the console.

PlayStation TV is Sony’s microconsole that allows users to play PlayStation Vita games on their TV, along with digital PlayStation One and PSP titles. Gamers can also use it to stream their PS4 to another TV via Remote Play. Lastly, PS TV has just added support for Sony’s new game streaming service PlayStation Now, just in time for the new PlayStation Now subscription model.

Will the price cut be the final straw for you to pick up PS TV? Still need the console to offer more? Let us know in the comments.
