For those of you that have purchased the PlayTV feature for the PlayStation 3, a fresh update that brings the hardware up to version 1.10 has gone live this morning and is now available to download.
Features include an adjust volume via the Blu-ray remote, making it easier for you to tweak the volume without using the main TV remote. In addition, PS3 now upscales from SD to HD, rather than your TV doing the work, which brings better results.
Here’s the full list of updates:
Update 1.10:
– The PS3 will now do your upscaling from SD to HD, rather than your television, which normally brings better results,
– You can now adjust the volume via the Blu-ray remote which means you won’t have to fiddle around for the main TV remote
– You can now toggle switch back to the previous channel using the Blu-ray remote
– You can now set PlayTV to go straight to Live TV rather than presenting you with that horrible carousel menu every time you boot it up.
