PS4 and PS3 owners can now stream their movies and T.V. shows from their media library directly through Sony’s consoles to the big screen.
The Plex app is available now in Europe and Asia, with the U.S. to follow and allows users to manage their personal media collection. At launch, the app will be restricted to Plex Pass holders, though there are plans to open up the service to non-Plex Pass holders in the future. The addition of music and photo streaming will also be added at a later date.
The concept of Plex is to allow users to organise their media more efficiently with the ability to add descriptions, plot summaries, posters, and covers.
