Personal media library service Plex is now available in North America and Latin America on the PlayStation 3 and 4 consoles.
Plex lets users organize their media, such as videos, music, and pictures, and then stream them from other devices, making it easy to share your media content with friends and family. At this time, the PlayStation apps only stream your videos. with support for movies and images coming soon. Plex finds info and cover art for your television episodes and movies to create a visually nice interface to browse your video library.
A Plex Pass subscription is required to get the app for free and costs $4.99/month, $39.99/year, or $149.99/lifetime. For those without a subscription, it will be available for a fee sometime in the future.
