Valve boss Gabe Newell’s confirmed that Portal 2 has moved three million units worldwide since its release in April 2011.
Speaking at the recent Games for Learning Institute’s Games for Change conference, Newell dropped the milestone to back up claims that a videogame can achieve commercial success and pack educational value to boot.
The original entry in the celebrated puzzles series – which arrived on consoles as part of The Orange Box – has sold over four million copies since its launch in 2007.
