Gamers who have pre-ordered hack-’em-up sequel Darksiders II will be automatically upgraded to the Limited Edition release of the game, publisher THQ announced today.
The deal applies to both U.S. and European territories.
In addition to featuring a copy of the game, the Limited Edition version of Darksiders II throws in a unique code allowing gamers to download the game’s first DLC pack, Argul’s Tomb, for free upon release.
Jim Huntley, Vice President of Global Brand Marketing commented: "We are delighted to be able to reward gamers who pre-order with a free upgrade to the Limited Edition version of the game."
Gamers will also be able to pick up a Collector’s Edition release for $99, which will be available in limited quantities only. This includes the contents of the Limited Edition, plus a life-sized replica Death Mask, a unqiue Shadow of Death armor and scythe set plus enhanced stats, a digital copy of the Darksiders II soundtrack and an art book.
If this tickles your fancy, then get your pre-orders in sharpish at any of the following retailers: Gamestop, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, EB Games and the THQ.com store.
Darksiders II is due out in North America on June 26 and in Europe on June 29, for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 platforms. A Wii U version is also in the pipeline.
