Electronic Arts has revealed that Dead Space: Ignition will be made available for free to gamers who pre-order their copy of hotly anticipated Survival Horror romp Dead Space 2.
The publisher confirmed that the pre-order incentive will be applicable to “participating retailers in North America.”
The game’s executive producer, Steve Papoutis, commented: “Dead Space fans are hungry for more Necromorph action and we’re thrilled that they don’t have to wait until January to get their fix.”
“Dead Space Ignition will show fans what happens in the hours leading up to the beginning of Dead Space 2 with gameplay that is fast-paced and accessible. It’s a fun way to dig deeper into the fiction, while allowing core fans to give Isaac Clarke an edge in Dead Space 2.”
Dead Space: Ignition will be hitting PlayStation Network in North America tomorrow, with a European launch following on Wednesday. Dead Space 2, meanwhile, hits store shelves in January 2011.
