GameStop and EA Sports have entered into a pre-order incentive for the upcoming Fight Night Round 4, allowing early access to the game’s demo for consumers who order the title in advance.
According to the press release sent out by EA Sports, "Consumers can step into the ring sooner with GameStop’s exclusive pre-order program. By pre-ordering Fight Night Round 4 at their local GameStop, or online at www.gamestop.com, fans will receive early access to the game’s demo. The game will be available for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360®™ video game system from Microsoft."
Of course, what’s to stop people from throwing down their $5 deposit in order to gain access to the demo code before getting a refund on their money? That’s an entirely different issue that GameStop may have to look into.
We’d like to know what our readers think of GameStop taking advantage of their pre-order system like this and if it influences the method in which you decide to purchase a game.
