For Destiny players it’s been a long time coming, but finally the launch of House Of Wolves happens today, bringing with it new missions, features and excitement aplenty for fans of Bungie’s MMO shooter.

What time can I download and play House of Wolves?
Bungie has stated that House of Wolves will be available at approximately 10am Pacific Time (6pm UK.) The time may vary between the US, EU and UK as it rolls out.
What’s happening in the Crucible?
Destiny’s multiplayer offering will feature a new competitive elimination mode called the Trials of Osiris. In this mode, players will team up in groups of three to eliminate their opponents. The twist here is that if fireteams can string together kills. The more kills they string together the greater the rewards, such as weapons and gear.
There’s also a new map in the form of TimeKeeper. The clock-work like structure was built by the Vex and is set in a windy Martian wasteland.
Socialising in The Reef
For the first time, players will be able to journey into The Reef, which has been billed as a social zone where Guardians can hang out, pick up missions, play a new co-op mode and buy new goods from new vendors.
Five new story-based missions
Bungie is keeping the details tight about the five new story missions based around The Reef. Its rulers are seeking revenge on the Fallen and are calling Guardians to fulfil the Queen’s bounties.
New Strike
A new strike will be available with House of Wolves called ‘The Shadow Thief’ where Guardians will have to infiltrate the ketch and take down Taniks the Scarred.
Co-op play
Guardians can enjoy a co-operative mode called the Prison of Elders. This will take place within the Reef where players skills will be tested in aggressive combat scenarios. Do well and claim the Queen’s bounty.
New Gear, weapons and armour
Get ready for a host of new exotic and legendary gear. Guardians will be able to upgrade any legendary or exotic weapons up to level 365, while armour can be improved up to light level 34. To do so you’re going to need a new material called Etheric Light which can drop in NightFall missions and some of the higher level missions. Visit the Speaker and you’ll also be able swap materials.
