Pro Evo battles for footy fans as PES 2013 demo impresses

The PlayStation 3 demo of Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 has been greeted with a positive response from the 6,000+ players who have downloaded it, boding well for the new direction that Konami has taken the series this year.

Currently rated an average of 4.19 stars out of 5, PES 2013 has been scored by 6,227 gamers who have downloaded the game and checked out some of the new features, including the enhanced A.I., the new ‘Full Control’ moves and ‘Player I.D.’ system.

Konami has reinvigorated the series this year, having lost face to rival FIFA over the last few years after Electronic Arts introduced a host of genre-changing online features. Though Konami will introduce a new online ranking system, the developer is hoping that PES will impress mostly on the pitch by delivering “total freedom” to players.

So far we’ve been impressed. Overall, PES 2013 feels more realistic and flows much better than PES 2012. Judging by these demo rankings, it looks like many others agree. Have you tried the PES 2013 demo? Let us know your thoughts.
