Procedurally-Generated Tactical RPG Wildermyth Comes To PS5 And PS4 This October

The critically acclaimed RPG Wildermyth will be making its PlayStation console debut this coming October 22, 2024, releasing on both PS5 and PS4.

Wildermyth developer Worldwalker Games teamed up with Auroch Digital to publish the title on console platforms, so that players on each platform could experience the storybook-looking RPG no matter where they play.

Those familiar with Wildermyth excited to play it on a platform not their PC might be wondering how the controls will translate. In that regard, and others, Auroch Digital has worked to ensure that the console version experience isn’t lacking anything from the PC version.

“We’ve been meticulous in ensuring that much loved experience from Wildermyth’s original release isn’t lost when optimizing it for consoles,” Auroch Digital’s lead marketing manager Will Flanagan said in a PlayStation Blog post.

“With that in mind, we’ve redesigned the UI and controls with gamepad in mind, ensuring that in-game elements are easily readable and the controls feel intuitive for the best gaming experience.

Another new feature coming in Wildermyth: Console Edition is the Monster Compendium. This tactical tome provides an insight into the creatures you’ll face on your journeys through the Yondering Lands, as well as enchanting excerpts of lore and background information about the game’s various factions.

We’re also introducing local cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to four players to take command of multiple characters and share in an unfolding story together.”

Flanagan also shared that players who pick up the physical copy of Wildermyth will be treated to a physical version of the Monster Compendium.
