Radial Entertainment has blown the dust off a follow-up to its 2009 shape shifting spectacle Prototype following weeks of rumors, confirming the sequel will be released in 2012.
No platforms have been announced as of yet, though we expect it to following in the same path as its predecessor, which means it’ll likely hit PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
According to the initial info burst from the VGAs, the game has players hopping in to the shoes of a chap named Sgt. James Heller, who has been tasked with eliminating former Prototype poster boy Alex Mercer.
