Sony announced recently that the PS5 has now shipped 92.2 million units worldwide since its launch in November 2020. While a successor to the system has yet to be revealed by the hardware manufacturer, there have been numerous reports about the PS6 over the past 18 months or so, including rumours it will be released with a handheld companion. A recent report from Bloomberg has claimed that Sony could be looking to delay the release of PS6 until as late as 2029.
