Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that Cloud Streaming is coming to PlayStation Portal later today as part of a major system update.
The update will allow PlayStation Plus Premium members to stream select digital PS5 games from their own digital library, with Cloud Streaming supporting thousands of games including Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Ghost of Yotei, Grand Theft Auto V, and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Beyond that, users will also be able to stream hundreds of games pulled from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog & Classics Catalog, spanning the likes of Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarok, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered. Beyond that, the Home Screen has been revamped to include three new tabs — Remote Play, Cloud Streaming, and Search.

Other new features are as follows:
- 3D Audio Support: 3D Audio is now available during Remote Play and Cloud Streaming on supported games, when using a compatible audio device. Immerse yourself in spatial sound with wired headphones or a compatible PlayStation Link wireless audio device such as the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds and Pulse Elite wireless headset.
- Passcode Lock: Protect your device by setting a passcode on your PS Portal.
- To set a passcode, go to Settings > System > Passcode.
- Network Status Screen: A stable internet connection is essential to ensure the best experience on PS Portal. You can now quickly check your connection quality with an easy-to-access status view.
- During Cloud Streaming or Remote Play, open the Quick menu and go to Troubleshoot > Show Network Status.
Previously, the format holder had released the Cloud Streaming beta for PS Portal that allowed PS Plus Premium members to stream select PS5 games from the Game Catalog & Classic Catalog via streaming, without having to connect to the PS5 using Remote Play.
Cloud Streaming comes to PS Portal via an update at 6.00pm PST today/2.00am November 6 GMT, with a full list of streamable games viewable here.
