EA Sports has confirmed that the forthcoming PlayStation Vita edition of FIFA 14 features new kits and players, which sounds suspiciously like a reskin of a game we’ve already played.
Controversy reared its ugly head over FIFA 13 last year, when it emerged that the footie outing was virtually identical to launch effort FIFA Soccer, albeit with new kits and players. Sadly, EA’s Romanian team seems content on doing the same thing this year.
“There will be a Vita version, and it’ll be the same great gameplay,” EA Sports’ David Rutter told Eurogamer. Quizzed if this means FIFA 14’s gameplay is the same as the FIFA Soccer, Rutter replied, “It’s the same great gameplay and new kits.”
However, does this mean we can expect a budget price? Rutter’s not saying.
“I have nothing to do with the prices, but I’ll be clear, he said. “It’s the same great gameplay. And obviously with any new kits.”
