SEGA legend Tak Hirai is busy chiselling away on a new music rhythm game for Sony’s PlayStation Vita handheld.
According to Famitsu magazine (via Andriasang), the title – known as Orgarhythm – will be released in Japan at some point in summer 2012. It’ll be published by Acquire over there, but no word yet on a western launch.
Details are pretty thin right now, though Hirai has said the game will offer a mix of music and strategy. In fact, the concept is so unique that it’s difficult to actually explain what it’s all about.
Hirai’s pedigree speaks for itself however, having been involved with Dreamcast classic Shenmue and Space Channel 5. He went on to found his own studio, Neilo, in 2010.
