An RPG about making babies to save the world from monsters is coming to North American PS Vitas in 2014.
The game is Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars, and it’s being published in North America by Atlus USA. Developed by Atlus and Spike Chunsoft (Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward), Conception II casts players as a male protagonist in a world beset by monsters. To save it, he joins forces with seven female heroines. What happens next is exactly what you think might happen next.
The resulting offspring are called ‘Star Children,’ and the game is all about creating kids whose class (warrior, mage) and statistics are determined by the girl you procreate with and your level of intimacy with her. Intimacy can be raised through dating-sim-type activities, and Star Children are deployed in turn-based RPG battles while dungeon crawling.
It’s no Persona 5, but I’m excited to give Conception II a try. There’s simply nothing else like it on PS Vita right now.
