Japanese sales of the PlayStation Vita have received a substantial kick in the butt thanks to the release of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD.
For the week ended January 5, Sony’s handheld platform shifted 81,111 units, putting it second only to the 3DS LL, which moved an impressive 139,867 units during the same period.
As previously reported on PSU, FFX/X-2 HD have already outsold life-to-date sales of the brand new Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in the region.
Elsewhere, both PS3 and PS Vita TV experienced a notable sales increase, with the formats selling 30,321 and 6,031 units, respectively.
